The Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund Advisory Committee

Steve is former managing partner of The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch. He has also served as Executive Director of University Relations at Plymouth State University. He was a trustee of the Neil and Louise Tillotson Trust and a long-time business associate of Neil Tillotson. Steve has deep roots and broad knowledge of Coös County and surrounding communities. He has served on the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation's board of directors and its North Country Region advisory board. Steve was appointed a lifetime advisory committee member by Louise Tillotson when she established the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund.

Hannah grew up in Columbia, NH and returned to the area after spending several years away, first in Colorado at the United States Air Force Academy and then in England as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the USAF. She works in the fields of renewable biomass heating, which has strong ties to the region's forest industries, and logistics consulting. Hannah serves as president of the North Country Chamber of Commerce, as a director for the Coös Economic Development Corporation and co-chair for the northern Coös County-focused advisory council. Hannah joined the advisory committee in 2023.

Tom is managing trustee of the Neil Tillotson Trust and CEO of the Tillotson Corporation. Tom has more than 25 years’ experience in community-based philanthropy. Prior to his role with the Trust, he was a senior vice president at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Tom was appointed as a lifetime advisory committee member by Louise Tillotson when she established the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund.

Émilie is general manager of the Corporation de Developpement Communautaire de la MRC de Coaticook de Québec, a consortium of community organizations, and has worked in community development in Coaticook for many years. She has also served as interim coordinator at the Centre d'action benevole, and has deep knowledge of Coaticook communities and the challenges facing the region. Émilie holds a degree in communication from the Cegep de Jonquiere. She joined the advisory committee in 2023.

Kassie is chief of operations for mental health services at Northern Human Services. She is passionate about improving the lives of young people in the region, and takes part in several initiatives and working groups focused on making the region a great place for children to grow up. She is active in the Androscoggin Valley Community Partners, Coös Coalition, and Child Advocacy Center. Kassie was a member of the Tillotson Community Practitioners Network and the Community Weavers initiative. She joined the advisory committee in 2022.

Sara is the Agente de developpement rural for the MRC de Coaticook de Québec. Sara is engaged in economic development efforts throughout the MRC of Coaticook. She is a board member of the Hereford Forest, an alumni of the Tillotson Learning Community and a past member of the Tillotson Fund’s Local Grants Committee. Sara joined the advisory committee in 2018.

Ben was a Trustee of the Neil Tillotson Trust and a Director of the Tillotson Corporation. As Louise Tillotson’s attorney, he worked with Mrs. Tillotson to establish the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Ben has served on boards of many nonprofits, including the Manchester Boys and Girls Club, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and Crotched Mountain Foundation. Ben was appointed as a lifetime advisory committee member by Louise Tillotson when she established the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund.

Ken serves as CEO of Coös County Family Health Services. He has also served as executive director of the North Country Accountable Care Organization and the Area Agency on Aging for Northeastern Vermont.  His background includes experience in home health and hospice, long-term services and supports, advocacy and policy analysis. Ken joined the advisory committee in 2023.

Jeremy is the executive director of White Mountain Science, Inc., which provides programming in science, technology, engineering and math to 50 schools in the North Country region. Jeremy also works with teachers and schools across New Hampshire on topics related to computer science, engineering, and inquiry-based learning. He also serves on the board of the Colonial Theatre in Bethlehem. Jeremy was a member of the Tillotson Learning Community and has served on the local grants committee. Jeremy now chairs the advisory committee, which he joined in 2022.

Beth is a retired managing director of Cambridge Associates, where she was the director of the Quantitative Research Group, responsible for creating the firm's models, analytical tools and related materials used in the investment advisory practice. Beth also served as an investment consultant for Cambridge Associates, working with college endowments, private foundations and health-care institutions. Beth is involved with a number of nonprofits, serving on the Board of Trustees of the Mount Washington Observatory and the Investment Committee of the Appalachian Mountain Club. She joined the advisory committee in 2023.

Jim was longtime president and CEO of The First Colebrook Bank. Now retired, Jim has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies and the Northern Forest Center. Jim also served as a member of the Foundation's North Country Region advisory board. He now serves as a director of the Coös Economic Development Corporation and as finance trustee of the Monadnock Congregational Church in Colebrook. Jim was appointed as a lifetime advisory committee member by Louise Tillotson when she established the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund.

Marie is general manager of the Centre d'action benevole of MRC de Coaticook, and has had a long career in the social sector. She has served as director at the CLO of the MRC de Coaticook, focusing on economic and social development in the Coaticook region. Marjorie serves on the boards of many public agencies, and has served on the Tillotson Fund’s local grants committee and strategic planning working group. She joined the advisory committee in 2023.

Courtney calls herself an "accidental librarian," having been trained as a researcher, community activist, educator, and administrator. She is director of the Whitefield Public Library and is actively engaged in civic life in Whitefield. She has organized many events and activities designed to build community and foster community pride.  She is a passionate advocate for youth and has served as principal at Profile School in Bethlehem and worked with many schools and nonprofits around the North Country. Courtney served as a Community Practitioners Network mentor and is a board member of TheaterUP in Littleton. She joined the advisory committee in 2023.

Bob serves as legal counsel to the Neil Tillotson Trust. As a practicing attorney with McLane Middleton, he is a director of the firm and former chair of the Trusts and Estates Department specializing in estate planning. Bob serves as trustee for several community organizations, including the Episcopal Diocese of NH, The Nature Conservancy, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, the Office of Public Guardian and St. Paul's School Advisory Committee on the Advanced Studies Program. He was appointed as a lifetime advisory committee member by Louise Tillotson when she established the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund.

Linda worked at resorts across the country before coming to The Balsams in 1988. Linda and her husband own and operate the Parsons Street Suites & Fine-Dining Restaurant in Colebrook. Linda has served as housing coordinator and human resources director for the City of Berlin; and as director of human resources and community health for Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook. She serves on Coös Economic Development Corporation's advisory board and has served on the Colebrook School Board and the board of Eckherd Youth Alternative. She joined the advisory committee in 2023.
