Courtney Vashaw

Courtney calls herself an “accidental librarian,” having been trained as a researcher, community activist, educator, and administrator. She is director of the Whitefield Public Library and is actively engaged in civic life in Whitefield. She has organized many events and activities designed to build community and foster community pride.  She is a passionate advocate for youth and has served as principal at Profile School in Bethlehem and worked with many schools and nonprofits around the North Country. Courtney served as a Community Practitioners Network mentor and is a board member of TheaterUP in Littleton. She joined the advisory committee in 2023.
